David has recently retired after a career of 35 years teaching Art and Design. David has a Degree in Fine Art and has continued to enjoy producing work in drawing, printmaking and photography.
In this workshop participants will explore observational drawing as a starting point to develop a range of abstract and decorative artworks in a series of demonstrated activities. A variety of materials and processes will be explored throughout the day. The workshop is suitable for all abilities, from absolute beginners to the more accomplished. All materials will be provided, and the workshop will take place in the Rangers Centre in the grounds of Brodick Castle.
